Freedom Scholars Summer Program

Summer Program 2024

 

July 8-August 9, 2024

All scholars must have completed at least one year of school (kindergarten) and no more than 8th grade. We are keeping our classes small, with 10 scholars each. Enroll Now!

Reading & Literacy

  • A literacy curriculum filled with books that are culturally reflective

  • High level servant leader (teacher) to student ratio, including certified staff and mentored junior staff

  • Assessments and monitoring designed for the individualized education improvement plan for each student

Fun Activities

  • Morning Harambee! song and celebration

  • Afternoon Activities (sports camp, poetry, arts & crafts, gardening, swimming, video production, music, dance, etc…)

  • Guest readers and presenters from the community

Family Engagement

  • Family Outreach & Civic Engagement

  • Family-to-family workshops

Daily Operation

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 3:00.

  • Healthy nutritious meals (breakfast, snack, and lunch)

Parent orientation is scheduled in June, so stay tuned!
